One of the goals of the LCT is to provide a setting where local actors can practice and perfect their craft. "We Love to Act..." and we know you do, too.
Audition dates and times for upcoming productions will be posted on the website two weeks prior to the audition date. The director may also contact actors personally. Desired actor characteristics for specific roles (gender, age, etc.) will be listed. Ages are frequently broadly given and should not discourage those with an interest in the part from auditioning. The director will notify everyone of his/her decision with the offer of a role or a, "Thank you, but…" Please know that the director may choose to pre-cast certain characters and will notify those auditioning of that decision prior to the audition.
Below is a link to the form you will fill out at the audition. If you print and fill it out before coming, it will save time, but it is not mandatory. Thank you for your interest, and we look forward to working with you!
BE ON TIME ! Coming in late is disruptive to the other folks auditioning and the director.
As the saying goes, it is all about attitude. Don't count on your overwhelming charm. The only thing that matters is your work and your professional attitude.
When you enter politely acknowledge everyone present but remember you need to be focused on your work.
We are only human so mistakes can happen. If you lose your concentration or cannot perform as per your potential, you can always ask to be allowed to do it again.
The only thing that matters ultimately is your performance. So, when you have performed your best as per your expectation, it is always a good idea to chill out and forget about the audition. Worrying will get you nowhere.
